[+]Financial Aid Deferment

Walker Avenue Apartments offers an option for those student who are awaiting refunds from the University due to Scholarship or Financial Aid awards to defer fall and/or spring payment until that refund is received. 

Students interested in this option must first complete all steps necessary to be eligible for Financial Aid.  Please visit UMBC Financial Aid for more details.

In addition to completing the Financial Aid application process, students must submit a Financial Aid/Scholarship Payment Plan Addendum each semester.  Deadline for this form is August 1 for fall semester and Jan 5 for spring semester.  Addendum can be found under the "Applications/Forms" tab.

[+]Summer Intern Housing 2012

Summer Intern Housing Available!

We are pleased to be able to offer housing to students interning in the Baltimore area during the summer of 2012 (May 26 – August 11). Housing is available at a rate of $203 per week, with a minimum of a 4 week stay. Rate includes a furnished apartment with washer/dryer, cable, local land line and all utilities. All interns will be in private bedrooms, but will share the apartment with 2-3 other interns. Interns planning on parking on campus will be required to purchase a $55 parking permit which is valid for the entire summer. 
 
To be eligible for intern housing, individuals must:
·         Be a student in good standing at their current institution.
·         Be hired as an intern in the Baltimore area for the duration of their stay. 
·         Be licensing and paying as an individual. Companies interested in booking a group of rooms for interns should contact the UMBC Residential Life Conference Coordinator (410-455-2591).
·         Cannot be a UMBC student. UMBC students interested in living at Walker Ave during the summer must sign an annual license through the UMBC Housing Selection process.

Space is available at Walker Avenue Apartments for the Spring 2012 semester.

Students interested in living at Walker Avenue Apartments for the Spring 2012 semester must  complete the online application at www.umbc.edu/reslife/apply. 

 

In order to be eligible to live at Walker Avenue Apartments, a student must have completed 39 credits and not have an open bill with UMBC or Walker Avenue Apartments.
 
Offers are anticipated to be made beginning in mid-November and will continue on a rolling basis, as students are approved by Residential Life. 
 
Offers will be made via email, so check your UMBC email account regularly.  We recommend that you check your junk/spam folders as well.
